Giefer Ranch English Shepherds
Sire: Bard Giefer
Date of birth: April 8, 2013
Registration: ESCR Hip screen: OFA: Good Other testing: MDR1 - Mutant/Normal Description: Bard is a hard-working cattle dog who gets along well with cats, kids, horses, and loves everyone he meets. He works cattle on verbal or hand cues (because it is often too windy to be heard here on the Plains), keeps varmints away from the barn and corrals, thinks water is for drinking (not swimming!), rarely barks, and is always neat and tidy. He can run through a mudhole to chase a cow and come out caked in mud, but he has that ES characteristic of a self-cleaning coat. Two minutes after running through the mud, he looks like he just stepped out of the beauty parlor. Pedigree: Cimarron King Biscuit x Foothills Toshi |
Dam: Avon Giefer
Date of birth: January 23, 2015
Registration: ESCR Hip screen: OFA: Good Other testing: MDR1: Normal/Normal by Pedigree Description: Avon is a varmint patrol specialist who barks when anyone drives in, considers all water to be a swimming hole (pond, creek, water tank, water dish), keeps livestock off my back (which is especially handy when the wind is blowing so that I can't hear approaching hooves), and has a self-maintaining coat that is cat-soft. Pedigree: Blankenship's White Oak Ruff x Catherin's Lady Sadie |
