The Ozarks Gathering has been rescheduled for next weekend, September 14th-16th, due to the weather. Rain and storms are expected to continue and flash flooding, as well as difficult driving conditions, are a concern. Safety first!

Location is a large cabin in the mountains sitting on a 1400 acre resort with several other cabins available for rent either on the property or nearby. One mile from the Buffalo and Little Buffalo River. Approximately three acre yard surrounding cabin with a covered picnic shelter. Cabin has large covered front and back porches. Located 5 minutes' drive from Jasper, AR.

***there are no hookups for RVS but anyone wishing to bring their camper may do so, ample room. Tenting is also an option.

Directions:
​Take HWY 64 toward Hasty and go five miles. Watch for a large cabin and the sign for the Hunting Club on the left. Check in at the office.

Food & Drink:
  • Grocery store and many different cafes and restaurants within a five minute drive.
  • Pot luck/BBQ Saturday night
  • Full kitchen and fridge in cabin.
  • Propane BBQ in covered shelter outside.
  • Alcohol will be allowed but not provided.


Please remember to bring:
  • Please bring money to pay for cabin stay or property rental (if you bring RV or tent, prices TBA)
  • Swimsuits, hiking boots, lawn chairs, bug spray, kayaks or canoes
  • YOUR OWN BEDDING FOR CABIN, such as sleeping bags and pillows.
  • Appropriate leashes and collars. Extendable leashes not permitted at group activities unless locked to 6 feet or less.


Activities:
  • Canoeing/Kayaking (shuttle provided, equipment rental available or you can bring your own boats)
  • Swimming with the dogs or without in the creek or the private stream pool.
  • Horseback riding on the property (some horses available, or you can bring your own)
  • Tour of Boxley/Ponca Buffalo River sites, with wild elk viewing 
  • Hike of Lost Valley Trail in Boxley
  • Scent/nosework seminar, with scenting games all afternoon Saturday, including an Intro to Air Scenting and Article Search open to all ages of dogs and handlers.
  • Canine Good Citizen testing
  • NESR Silent Auction

Entry fee for Scentwork games goes to NESR
