"Twins" Contest...

One of the amazing things about English Shepherds is how closely modern representatives of the breed resemble their ancestors. Many breeds have been "improved" over the years to the point that there is virtually no similarity between current dogs and dogs from the past. The English Shepherd Club is committed to preventing this from happening to our great breed; as they say, "if it ain't broke..."! These dogs are beautiful and functional now, just as they were over 100 years ago.

Over the coming year, the English Shepherd Club will be collecting photos for a "twins" contest -- the winner will be the photos showing the greatest resemblance between a modern dog and a dog pictured in an "old" photo. If you have a photo you would like to have considered, please email the English Shepherd Club for information. We would love to add your photo(s) to the contest!
