"A farmer's helper, a loyal companion, a child's shadow: The English Shepherd."

English Shepherds are working dogs, valued for their versatility, loyalty, and intelligence. They make wonderful companions and working partners in homes where their intelligence, spirit, and devotion are understood and appreciated. The information on this website provides an overview and introduction to the breed and its history, as well as links to resources available to help people interested in finding or working with a dog.

Unlike most dog breeds, the English Shepherd is blessed with a breed organization -- The English Shepherd Club (ESC) -- which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operated for the purpose of breed conservation. The means by which the ESC accomplishes this objective include:
  • Educational publications;
  • Development and operation of a breed database and registry for population surveillance, research, and reporting;
  • Conduct of breed health and behavior surveys;
  • Facilitation of volunteer networks for purposes of breed conservation.

Thank you for your support!  This is the drawing of the Beautiful Quilt "Under Construction" As I  post this! There are people all over the USA working on this project! It is a one of a kind truly unique Quilt with our sweet precious English Shepherds of today and long ago Names Embroidered on the quilt squares on the front of the quilt surrounding the Beautiful Appliqued  English
Shepherd head (drawn by Barbara Brice) The Quilt is a combination of  ideas from many people and Le Ann Weaver has brought it all together with her talent for design and quilting. There will be a few surprises on the Quilt. As soon as we are able we will do a photo of this Quilt and share it with all of you! I can see this hanging in someone's home and being passed down thru the years to loved ones! It will be a real treasure for some one! It will be accompanied by all the wonderful English Shepherd Stories of the dogs we hold in our hearts!
