Buffalo National River Campground
From Yellville, AR, take Highway 14 East for 11 miles. Watch for Wild Bill's store at the corner, and sign marked "Buffalo Point Campground." Turn left, drive 1.5 miles to campground.
Buffalo National River campground at Buffalo Point near Yellville, Arkansas. Covered pavilion group campsite with electricity and running water and washrooms. Lots of flat grassy areas surrounding pavilion. Easy access to local rental cabins, motels and bed and breakfasts. Camping on-site available.
Potluck and BBQ each night for dinner. Options for shopping or eating out are available at the campsite restaurant or in Yellville.
Remember to Bring:
Chair, crate or xpen, leashes, water for your dog, sunscreen Swimsuits/river shoes
Scent theory/into to SAR lectures and practical exercises: Scent Theory gives owners and handlers a better idea of how dogs perceive their world.
First Aid for Dogs (pending instructor) will give owners techniques to respond in an emergency to things such as snakebite, wound dressing, splinting, choking and cardiac arrest as well as providing information on how to know when a dog is in a medical emergency (bloat, poison, hypothermia and heatstroke).
Understanding Dog Language seminar: Understanding Dog Language will allow owners to know how to interpret commonly misunderstood behavior correctly.
Group float trip: A group float trip will give dogs an opportunity to learn good canoe/boat etiquette in a fun and beautiful environment.
Rally courses and instruction: Rally promotes real-world, useful obedience in a fun and challenging format.
